Hey Bees! Today we are going to be chatting about a very, very special wedding: mine! Two years ago, on Sunday, February 19th, we hosted 120 of our family and friends for nuptials and brunch food.
And it was AWESOME!
Seriously, if you are contemplating having a brunch wedding, do it, do it, do it. We had it on a Sunday. The night before, we hosted a welcome party at a local hotel. Our family was able to meet and get to know each other without the formal timeline of a wedding.
We didn’t have a planner for our wedding, and I am going to say it right now: being a wedding planner and understanding what goes into it makes me wish that we had had a wedding planner. It sucks but it is so true! I LOVED our wedding, but if I had been working with someone with connections into the industry, it would have been such a more ….cohesive? wedding day.
Well, well, well…. rant over. Moving on to our bride and groom.
I met Jamey right after he got out of college. He was on Tinder…. he had a dog in his profile… and I was hooked. I got to meet the dog, later, who was the sweetest thing! We went out to dinner at a restaurant in Fredericksburg called Foode (it’s still there and it’s great!!!), and we were hooked. It was one of those things where you just know, you know? We fit together seamlessly like two puzzle pieces.
From road trips to weeknight dinners, our relationship is literally every one of those cliche lines that you hear. It was so much fun planning our wedding and our awesome honeymoon to Alaska, writing our vows and selecting all the different components that go into planning our wedding, and I can’t wait to share all of the details with you! Without further ado, here are the stunning images from our wedding day!
