We coordinated these two sweeties’ wedding day back in November at an elegant barn in King George, Virginia. We’ve gotta say, Lindsey is one of the most organized brides we have ever had! We met with her and her mom a few weeks before the wedding, and boy was she prepared! She had a binder full of information for us with everything from vendor contact information to floor plans and decor lists.
Seriously, this girl thought through everything – up to the specific number of champagne cups needed on each table. It is so helpful to have a clear vision of the day!
We also need to give major props to her handsome groom, Macon. He was an absolute gentleman on the wedding day. Even though we were contracted to make his day go smoothly, he spent every minute he had trying to ensure that our team was hydrated and had plenty of food and drinks. You can see just how genuine he was and how much he truly cares for everyone he comes into contact with – family, friend, or stranger.
Lindsey and Macon chose her home church for their ceremony. This was the church that she was baptized in. It was stunning – it was a classic country white chapel with big windows and plenty of sunlight. Her mom, her, and their family decorated this church to the nines. They even created their own backdrop on the altar. Pastor Rick was a calming presence on the wedding day. He was such a hoot and a delight to be around.
Lindsey and Macon’s wedding party consisted of 18 members, with 9 bridesmaids, 9 groomsmen. You could tell that these two had a special relationship with each and every member of their wedding party. They are so lucky and blessed to have so many wonderful friends, and from prayer circles to laughing until they have tears in their eyes, their day was so enjoyable because of their friends.
Lindsey, a triplet, had her two sisters as her maids of honor. Macon’s dad was the best man, and you could see why he asked his father to stand by his side on his wedding day. What an absolute sweetie pie!
The deep orange and creamy white flowers that were chosen for the wedding day were absolutely stunning. The mommas, best man, father of the bride, groomsmen and honored guests each had their own personalized arrangement to fit them. The had a pianist play and it really set the tone for elegance.
Their reception was held ten minutes away at Landino Farm. Lindsey and her mom handled all of the decor for their wedding day, and they made an incredible team! They had already invested in a venue with so much beauty on its own and chose to add small details to feature that beauty. The barn had HUGE doors on either side, tall ceilings, string lights and dangling, candlelit mason jars. Their decor was simplistic, rustic and tastefully done.
While they were taking photos, they had lots of yummy snacks before dinner was served…always a great call to avoid a “hangry” crowd. They also had a fizzy fruit punch for everyone to sip on!
Lindsey and Macon decided they wanted to be able to relive the live action version of their day and hired “We Film Your Wedding” as their videographers. They are a team of true professionals that capture beauty, love and fun…click here for this blog post about their wedding day.
Their reception was an absolute blast! DJ Bill Carroll knows how to work up a crowd and everyone was up, laughing, dancing and enjoying themselves. We were worried about the cold but all that boogying kept us nice and toasty.
One of our favorite things we saw…a coke float! Their guests’ party favors were adorable mason jars with a handle and everyone’s personalized cup for the float. Add some coca cola and ice cream and you have a portable dessert. So delish and unique!
Despite it being a larger wedding of about 200 guests, Lindsey and Macon made sure to thank each person for coming and show their gratitude. Mission BBQ served…well, BBQ buffet style and mmmm, mmmm…! It’s possible we may have gone back for seconds…or thirds…
Now, something I have never seen before…Landino Farm provided a table with wheels and Lindsey had the brilliant idea to put her cake on top! When it came time to cut, it was rolled into the center of the room for all guests to see. Too many times have necks been bent to watch the action and this allowed the neck aches to be avoided! So cool!
Lindsey’s poppa, a stoic, former marine, gave a thoughtful and thankful speech. Mason’s poppa and best man gave a tear-jerking one as well. He got us for sure. Speeches are always a time we get nervous but everyone brought their A game that day.
Finally, it was time for Lindsey and Macon to head out. Normally with a sparkler exit the bride and groom will stop and kiss in the center and photo op and photo op and photo op… they were so darn cold that they ran FULL SPEED to their “just married” ride and they were OUT OF THERE! Cheers to Lindsey and Macon!
