Meg here, happy Monday! Next Monday, we are teaming up with some fantastic vendors to create a beautiful Serenity Blue Styled Shoot, and we wanted to share with you all of the little details that we purchased for this shoot.
The inspiration for this shoot pulled from very soft, feminine, organic elements, and we wanted to bring out and showcase one of the vendors’ china patterns.
When we created the inspiration board, we looked for images that brought elements of that soft romantic feel, and had mostly blue with touches of pink and ivory throughout.
And, viola! A beautiful, beautiful inspiration board!
For the head table, we opted to use a beautiful gray chiffon runner, which we purchased at this link below:
You could also purchase an unbleached cheesecloth and dye it powder blue (so pretty!). Find the cheesecloth here:
To achieve the powder blue color, you will want to dye it with Rit Dye in the colors Evening Blue, Aquamarine, and Denim Blue, using a 1 to 1.5 to 1.5 ratio. You can find more dye recipes on the Rit website here.
Next, we wanted to get some candlesticks, and we needed to get both electric and regular candlesticks.
These are the candlesticks we were going to purchase for the shoot, but we rented some:
And the taper candles that we bought:
Sweeney Barn, the venue, doesn’t allow for their brides to have lit candles on the property because it isn’t safe when guests are around, but we were allowed to use them lit while we were watching them. For the lit shots, we used electric candles. Find them here:
Everything was on a farm table like this one:
And we were going to use Ghost Chairs for the two sweetheart table chairs (but we rented some):
My favorite part: the details! We went heavy on the details for this shoot, since we had so many photographers and we wanted to give them ample opportunity to take pretty photos that looked both beautiful and different. So we went shoppping!
First: we bought vow books:
And some pretty ring boxes!
We didn’t get these, but we love them:
We purchased acrylic blocks for the photographers to play with:
And we didn’t get any, but we would have loved these:
And where would we be if we didn’t have some beautiful accessories?
We rented this adorable blue and gold cake table, and the baker had a white cake stand for us to use – a little like this:
For the cake knife and server, we went with these adorable gold twig cake knife and server set:
Which pairs so beautifully with these:
Welp! I hope you all have a wonderful time shopping for all of the beautiful items! We loved, loved, loved working on this shoot! We can’t wait to show you all of the beautiful photographs!
